Worthing Council have revealed proposals to end fishing from this Sussex pier. The council are looking at tackling problem at the pier which they have attributed to fishing activities.

A petition has been started and signed by hundreds of anglers who regularly use the piers main deck as a fishing spot.

We are happy to report that although there was a major fire at the shopping centre opposite the North Pier that the pier itself is in no way affected.

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of starting the fire which began in Clifton Street.
